2. What Data We Collect

Before After Studio is designed with privacy at its core. We do not require account creation, and we do not collect personal information that identifies you.

a) Photos and Images

The App uses your device's camera to capture photos and accesses your Photo Library to import images. All photos are stored locally on your device under the App's sandboxed storage directory. Photos are never uploaded to any server or transmitted off your device by the App.

When importing photos from your library, the App reads EXIF metadata (such as capture date) solely to preserve original timestamps within your projects. This metadata stays on your device.

b) Project Data

Your projects, categories, and photo metadata are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is not synced to any cloud service by the App.

c) App Settings and Preferences

We store your preferences (such as default export format, layout, speed, and resolution) locally on your device using UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

d) Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Before After Studio Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase. We do not collect or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple.

3. What Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials.
• We do not collect device identifiers for tracking purposes.
• We do not use analytics services, crash reporting tools, or any third-party SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not upload, transmit, or process your photos on any server.

4. Camera and Photo Library Access

Before After Studio requests access to your device's camera and Photo Library for the sole purpose of capturing and importing photos into your projects. These permissions are optional and requested at the point of use:

• Camera: Used to capture before, after, and progress photos directly within the App. Images are saved to the App's local storage, not to your Camera Roll (unless you export them).
• Photo Library: Used to import existing photos into projects. The App only accesses the specific photos you select.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera / Photos.

5. How Your Data Is Stored

All personal data (project photos, project metadata, settings) is stored locally on your device. The App does not sync data to iCloud or any cloud service.

Note: If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, Apple may include app data as part of your device backup. This is an OS-level feature managed by Apple, not by Before After Studio. You can control this through your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.

We do not operate servers that store your personal data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to any third party. Your photos and project data stay on your device.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access: You may request information about what data we process about you.
• Right to rectification: You may correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your data.
• Right to data portability: You may request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to restrict processing: You may request that we limit how we use your data.
• Right to object: You may object to the processing of your data.

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise these rights directly:

• View your data within the App.
• Delete individual projects and photos within the App.
• Delete all data by uninstalling the App.
• Manage iCloud Backup settings through your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.

Legal basis for processing: We process local app data based on our legitimate interest in providing the App's functionality. Camera and Photo Library access is based on your explicit consent (granted via iOS permission prompts).

8. Data Retention

Your data is stored on your device for as long as you use the App. When you delete the App, all locally stored data — including all project photos — is removed.

9. Children's Privacy

Before After Studio is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the App, please contact us at hello@bluebry.com.

10. Security

We rely on Apple's platform security measures to protect your data, including on-device encryption and sandboxed app storage. Since we do not operate servers or collect data remotely, there is no server-side attack surface.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
